The Castle Waldstein is an Outbound hilltop castle on a 510  m above sea level. NN high hill at the "Franzosenhof" in the Waldstein valley near the municipality of Fischerbach in the Ortenau district in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle was built by the Lords of Waldstein , mentioned in 1353 and fell into disrepair after 1500. It was located on a rock plateau of 40 by 10 meters and was protected in the west by a double moat with a rampart and in the south by a neck ditch and a shield wall- like rock tooth. Small remains of the walls of the former castle are still preserved.
