Burgfeld is a village in the municipality of Dechantskirchen in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district in Styria . The village has 122 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).

The spacious scattered settlement north of Dechantskirchen consists of the village of Burgfeld, the Rotte Hötting and a single location. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1209, when Ulrich von Burgfeld appears as a knight in the Krumbacher entourage in a deed at Thalberg Castle .
