The Burgstall Bühl refers to an abandoned hilltop castle on the "Schlossberg" in the district of Bühl in the municipality of Bibertal in the district of Günzburg in Bavaria .
history
The medieval castle, the time of its construction is unknown, was inhabited by several families of knights and stormed by the Leipheimer Haufen in 1525 in the German Peasants' War . In the Thirty Years' War it was finally destroyed. During the Thirty Years War , Bühl was almost extinct.
The place of the former castle, the Burgstall , is now a ground monument . The slope of the Schlossberg is protected as a valuable part of the landscape by the Bavarian Nature Conservation Act.
