The medieval castle, the time of its construction is unknown, was inhabited by several families of knights and stormed by the Leipheimer Haufen in 1525 in the German Peasants' War . In the Thirty Years' War it was finally destroyed. During the Thirty Years War , Bühl was almost extinct.
