The Postal Rotenburg is an Outbound hilltop castle on 521 m above sea level. NHN northeast over Weiler , a current district of Rottenburg am Neckar in the Tübingen district ( Baden-Württemberg ).
The Rotenburg was the seat of the noble free von Rotenburg, named in the 12th century, and later came into the possession of the Counts of Hohenberg who lived here . The castle was mentioned in the 13th century, abandoned in the same century and fell into disrepair in 1407. No remains of the former castle complex have survived.
