Burkhard Brozat (born September 19, 1953 in Hamburg ) is a German songwriter , author, composer and music producer .
Life
Burkhard Brozat played in a band as a student. After training as a telecommunications technician, he completed the technical college at the Johanneum Hamburg. During his studies at the University of Economics and Politics in Hamburg, he made his first contacts with the Hamburg scene. The first studio work and co-productions with Udo Lindenberg arose . In 1984 the collaboration with Peter Maffay began . The album Grössenwahn (1987) was Brozat's debut as a songwriter , performer and music producer . In 1994 he was awarded the Fred Jay Prize . He wrote the film music for Detlev Buck's films.
In addition to Udo Lindenberg , Burkhard Brozat has released music tracks with Wolfgang Petry , Milva , Puhdys , Mary Roos , Truck Stop , Vikinger , Bernd Stelter , Corinna May , Angelo Branduardi and many more
Brozat has been a member of GEMA's supervisory board since 2002 . From 2003 to 2007 Brozat was vice-president of the German Lyricists Association.
