The Burton Point is a headland in the northeast of Krogh Iceland in Archipelago Biscoe Islands west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It forms the western boundary of the northern entrance to the Wladigerow Passage between Krogh Island and Lavoisier Island .
It was mapped using aerial photographs taken by the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (1956–1957). The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the headland after the Canadian biophysicist Alan C. Burton (1904–1979), who studied the influence of cold on the human organism.
