Bustelo (sometimes also Bustelo da Lage ) is a locality and former municipality in Portugal .

history

The place was probably created during the Reconquista . The place received its first simple city rights in 1118, during the settlement efforts under Queen Teresa of León . Bustelo remained a municipality in the Ferreiros de Tendais district until it was dissolved in 1855. Since then, Bustelo has belonged to Cinfães.

In the course of the territorial reform in 2013, the municipality was dissolved and merged into a new municipality with Alhões , Gralheira and Ramires .

Bustelo was a municipality ( freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) of Cinfães , in the district of Viseu . In an area of ​​6.5 km² it had 115 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

As part of the municipal reorganization of Portugal , Bustelo was merged with Alhões , Gralheira and Ramires on September 29, 2013 to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Alhões, Bustelo, Gralheira e Ramires . The seat of the new municipality was Alhões, while the municipal administration in Bustelo remained as a citizens' office.
