By Brute Force was a death metal / grindcore band from Gummersbach , North Rhine-Westphalia .
history
The band was founded in January 2001 in Gummersbach and recorded the first demo tape at the end of 2002 .
At the beginning of 2003 the first studio album By Brute Force was released in the SAW Studio in Wermelskirchen , on which the music style and lyrics show traits of bands like Morbid Angel and Deicide .
This was followed by appearances with bands such as Japanese combat radio plays , Vital Remains , Tankard and Mastic Scum .
At the beginning of 2005, the second long player Rituals of Death was recorded in the Q-1 studio in Bergisch Gladbach , which was then released through the Twilight distribution .
At the beginning of 2007 the third long player With Intent To Destroy was recorded in the in-house studio, which was then released on Metal-On-Demand Records .
After the album was released, Oskar left the band and was replaced by Jens until 2010, who now works on guitar at Obsolete Incarnation & Stillbirth . Then Schenk, who had previously worked for the band Satis , joined By Brute Force .
In spring 2008, four songs for the Split Earsplitting (with Unchallenged Hate from Essen ) were recorded by producer Carsten Rehmann in the CKB studio in Essen, which was also released on "Metal-On-Demand Records".
In 2012, the fourth long player Breakdown The Masses was released on the RottenRollRex label .
After the album was released, Stevie (now active in the punk band Denkbie ) left the band and was replaced by Les (from the band PX ).
In 2016 the fifth and final album We Declare War was recorded in Wermelskirchen , which was released on the Czech label NiceToEatYou Records .
In the soundtrack of the film OTE from 2010, a total of eleven songs by By Brute Force are played.
By Brute Force was mainly known in the DIY underground scene and can be attributed to the NRWDM (Northrhine-Westfalia Death Metal).
In 2011 the band played u. a. at the DeathFeast Open Air in Hünxe .
The musical style can be described as Death Metal (2001-2008) or Brutal Grind (2008-2016).
In 2016 the breakup of the band was announced due to "various" differences.
The last line-up was Punker ( vocals ), Aldo ( drums , vocals), Schenk ( electric guitar ) and Lesley ( bass ); the guitarist Schenk is still musically active with his brutal slam death combo GOREPUTATION .
