The Byrdbukta ( Norwegian ) is an ice harbor on the Princess Martha coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . The bay is on the west side of the Trolltunga .
Scientists at the Norwegian Polar Institute named it after the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd (1888–1957).
