Byron Morrow

Byron Morrow (born September 8, 1911 in Chicago , Illinois , † May 11, 2006 in Woodland Hills , Los Angeles ) was an American actor .

Life

After graduating from school, Morrow initially carried out various activities. He worked as a model, puppeteer, radio host and for a short time also as a semi-professional basketball player in the Midwest , where he also competed against the Harlem Globetrotters .

At the end of the thirties he moved to Hollywood, where he remained stationed during his military service in the US Army in World War II.

After the war ended, Morrow began a long acting career in film and television, with the tall, lean and serious actor often portraying law and order representatives - policemen, judges and officers. He was seen in supporting roles in more than two dozen major film productions.

He also worked extensively for television and made guest appearances in many successful series such as Perry Mason , Police Report , Vegas , Mini-Max and Dallas . He had worked with Larry Hagman before Dallas : in the series The Adorable Jeannie he had played the recurring role of one of the superiors of the character played by Hagman.

Morrow, whose year of birth was long given in film reference works as 1920, died May 11, 2006 at the age of 95 in a retirement and care home for film and television professionals in California's Woodland Hills.
