Cándido Cárdenas Villalba
Cándido Cárdenas Villalba (born October 3, 1941 in Supucia , Paraguay ) is a Paraguayan clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Benjamín Aceval .
Life
Cándido Cárdenas Villalba received on 12 July 1970, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On July 6, 1998, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Benjamin Aceval. The Archbishop of Asunción , Felipe Santiago Benítez Ávalos , donated him episcopal ordination on September 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Carapeguá , Celso Yegros Estigarribia , and the coadjutor bishop of San Juan Bautista de las Misiones , Mario Melanio Medina Salinas .
On June 16, 2018, Pope Francis accepted Cándido Cárdenas Villalba’s resignation due to reasons of age.
