The house at Cäcilienstraße 47 is a historic building in Heilbronn , which was placed under monument protection as a cultural monument.

location

Cäcilienstraße, which was laid out in 1809 with the demolition of the city fortifications, is located in the south of the city center of Heilbronn on the historic highway from Heilbronn to Stuttgart Gartenland, runs from east to west and crosses Wilhelmstraße.

The house is located on the north side of Cäcilienstraße between the crossing of Urbanstraße and the crossing of Wilhelmstraße. The building is flanked on the left by the Wilhelmsbau and on the right by the house at Cäcilienstraße 51 .

history

The building was erected in 1871 as a separate residential building based on plans by the architect Hammann. In 1907 it was rebuilt slightly differently as the home of the Meißner merchant family from Heilbronn. In 1950 the house was owned by Emil Hinderer, who had emigrated to America. The dentist Heinrich Stade had rented rooms on the ground floor and first floor. In 1961 the building became the property of the City of Heilbronn, while the Stade dentist was still a tenant.

According to the monument topography, the building is a " two-story plastered building with a stone facade ". During the stucco building, which is the plastered brick building is found in the back of the house, is showing in stone carved facade on the Cäcilienstraße.

Furthermore, the monument topography describes the building with “ cornice strips, side elevation and axially arranged profiled framed window openings ”. The ground floor shows the horizontal " cornice bands " mentioned in the monument topography . The facade is structured by a side elevation with a gable at the top. Windows can be seen on this side elevation that have been arranged symmetrically , that is, " axially " in the facade. These windows show a frame that is richly profiled .

Art historical significance

The building, erected in 1871 according to plans by the architect Hammann and rebuilt in 1907, is an example of a residential building of a Heilbronn merchant family in the early days and was therefore placed under monument protection.
