Caesar Bachmann (born April 24, 1892 in Wollerau ; † November 9, 1956 there , Catholic , entitled to live in Wollerau) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Caesar Bachmann was born on April 24, 1892 in Wollerau as the son of the notary Josef Bachmann. Bachmann worked professionally as a merchant and wine merchant . He also served in the Swiss Army in the position of lieutenant colonel in the catering troops and war commissioner . Caesar Bachmann, who married Gertrud Bachmann, who was also born in 1924, died on November 9, 1956 at the age of 64 in Wollerau.

Political career

Caesar Bachmann, a member of the Liberal Party, was a member of the municipal council in Wollerau from 1920 to 1924 . As a result, Bachmann served as district councilor from 1924 to 1944, including between 1928 and 1930 as district administrator of the Höfe district . At the cantonal level, Caesar Bachmann was initially represented in the Schwyz Cantonal Council from 1928 to 1944 , which he presided over in 1930/31. At the same time, Bachmann served as board member of the Schwyzer Kantonalbank from 1932 to 1944 . Finally, he represented his party from 1944 to 1956 in the Governing Council , of which 1947 to 1948 as a bailiff . There he was first in charge of the finance department until 1952.
