César Augusto Aquino de Castro (born September 2, 1982 in Brasília , Brazil ) is a Brazilian water diver . He starts in artificial jumping from the 1-meter and 3-meter board and in 3-meter synchronized jumping.

Castro took part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens . In jumping from the 3-meter board, he reached the final and was ninth. In 2008 in Beijing he missed the semifinals in the same competition as 24th.

In swimming world championships he was able to reach several finals. His best placement in the individual is a fifth place on the 3-meter board in Rome in 2009 , in the 3-meter synchronized jumping he was eighth in Montreal with Cassius Duran in 2005 .

His greatest success so far was winning the silver medal from the 3-meter board at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro , and in 2011 he won bronze in the same competition in Guadalajara .
