As Côte Fleurie (in German as flowers coast translated) refers to a French coastal strip in the Pays d'Auge in Calvados region Normandy . This lies on the English Channel between the mouth of the Seine and the Orne .

The name Côte Fleurie was created in connection with the tourist marketing of this coastal region in order to set itself apart from other touristically attractive coasts such as the Côte d'Azur , the Alabaster Coast and the Côte d'Émeraude and to develop its own profile.

The name Côte Fleurie takes on the characteristic feature of the Pays d'Auge, the blooming gardens and meadows. The region is characterized by frequent precipitation and rapid weather changes.

This coastal area with many hours of sunshine is formed by low cliffs , sand dunes and salt marshes .
