Varaville is a French commune in the Calvados department in the region of Normandy . Varaville belongs to the canton of Cabourg and the arrondissement of Lisieux .
geography
In terms of area, Varaville is the largest municipality on the Côte Fleurie . It consists of the seaside resort Le Home and the older part, called Le Bourg , which is surrounded by fields and swamps.
There are some interesting old villas on the three-kilometer-long sandy beach with a dune . The sea water is of good quality and classified with A.
Varaville borders on the following municipalities: Merville-Franceville-Plage in the north-west, Cabourg and Dives-sur-Mer in the north-east, Périers-en-Auge in the east, Brucourt in the south-east, Goustranville and Bavent in the south, Petiville in the south-west and Gonneville-en- Eye in the west.
