Cambremer is a French commune with 1,359 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lisieux and the canton of Mézidon-Canon (until 2015: canton of Cambremer ).

It was created with effect from January 1, 2019 as the Commune nouvelle of the same name through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of Cambremer and Saint-Laurent-du-Mont , which were not granted the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Cambremer.

Cambremer is located about 13 kilometers west of Lisieux and about 29 kilometers east of Caen in the Pays d'Auge . Cambremer is surrounded by the neighboring communities

• Rumesnil and Léaupartie in the north and north-west,
• Montreuil-en-Auge in the north,
• Saint-Ouen-le-Pin in the east,
• La Houblonnière in the south and south-east,
• Mézidon Vallée d'Auge with the Communes deleguées Monteille in the south and Crèvecœur-en-Auge in the southwest,
• Notre-Dame-de-Livaye in the south,
• Notre-Dame-d'Estrées to the west and Victot-Pontfol to the west and north-west.
