La Vespière-Friardel is the easternmost municipality in the Calvados department. It was created as part of a regional reform on January 1, 2016 through the merger of the two former municipalities Friardel and La Vespière , which are now districts of La Vespière-Friardel. La Vespière acts as the “superordinate district” as the administrative center.
