La Vespière ( ) is a former French community with 999 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013), the Vesperois , in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy .
On January 1, 2016, La Vespière was incorporated into the new municipality of La Vespière-Friardel as part of a regional reform together with the neighboring municipality of Friardel . La Vespière represents the administrative seat of La Vespière-Friardel as the "superordinate district".

La Vespière is located in the Pays d'Auge . Lisieux is located around 20 kilometers northwest of the village . The northeastern Bernay is about 16 kilometers away. The Orbiquet flows west of La Vespière. In the north and east, the local area borders on the Eure department .
