Location of the canton of Livarot in the Calvados department

The Canton Livarot is a French administrative unit in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It comprises twelve municipalities from the arrondissements of Caen and Lisieux , its bureau centralisateur is in Livarot-Pays-d'Auge . As part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was significantly expanded in spring 2015.

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton Livarot included the 22 municipalities of Auquainville , Bellou , Cheffreville -tonscourt , Fervaques , Heurtevent , La Brévière , La Chapelle-Haute-Grue , Le Mesnil-Bacley , Le Mesnil-Durand , Le Mesnil-Germain , Les Autels-Saint-Bazile , Les Moutiers-Hubert , Lisores , Livarot , Notre-Dame-de-Courson , Saint-Germain-de-Montgommery , Saint-Martin-du-Mesnil-Oury , Saint-Michel- de-Livet , Saint-Ouen-le-Houx , Sainte-Foy-de-Montgommery , Sainte-Marguerite-des-Loges and Tortisambert . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​172.08 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 1423.
