The Canton of Dozulé was 2015 a French constituency in Calvados and in the former region Basse-Normandie . It comprised 25 parishes in the Arrondissement of Lisieux ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Dozulé . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Olivier Colin ( DVD ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 1998 to 2015 .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the departments as part of what was then the "District de Pont-l'Évêque". With the creation of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Pont-l'Évêque. On September 10, 1926, the arrondissement Pont-l'Évêque was dissolved and the canton was added to the arrondissement Lisieux.

The canton bordered the English Channel in the north, the canton Trouville-sur-Mer in the northeast, the canton Pont-l'Évêque in the east, the canton Cambremer in the south and the cantons Troarn and Cabourg in the Caen district in the west .
