Montviette is a village in the French department of Calvados in Normandy . The municipality , which was independent until January 1, 2017 , belonged to the canton of Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives in Lisieux until 2015 and was then defeated to the canton of Livarot . She was a member of the communal association Communauté de communes des Trois Rivières . It was established by a decree of September 8, 2016 with Boissey , Bretteville-sur-Dives , Hiéville , Mittois , L'Oudon , Ouville-la-Bien-Tournée , Sainte-Marguerite-de-Viette , Saint-Georges-en-Auge , Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives , Thiéville , Vaudeloges and Vieux-Pont-en-Auge merged to form the Commune nouvelle Saint-Pierre-en-Auge . Since then it has been a Commune déléguée .

Neighboring towns are Sainte-Marguerite-de-Viette in the north, Saint-Michel-de-Livet in the northeast, Le Mesnil-Bacley and Heurtevent in the east, L'Oudon in the south and Saint-Georges-en-Auge in the west. The municipality marker covered 6.62 km². The lowest point is at 109 and the highest at 195 meters above sea level.
