Livarot ( pronunciation ^?^/^I ) is a former French commune with 2,140 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013), the Livarotais , in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy .

On January 1, 2016, Livarot was incorporated into the new municipality of Livarot-Pays-d'Auge as part of a regional reform together with 21 neighboring municipalities . Livarot represents the administrative seat of Livarot-Pays-d'Auge as the "superordinate district".
