The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Lisieux and the canton Mézidon-Canon (until 2015 Lisieux-3 ). The inhabitants are called Pré d'Augeois .

Le Pré-d'Auge is about 50 kilometers east of Caen . Le Pré-d'Auge is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Manerbe in the north and north-west, Saint-Désir in the east, Saint-Pierre-des-Ifs in the south-east, La Boissière in the south, La Houblonnière in the south-west and Saint-Ouen-le-Pin in the West.
