The c't magazin.tv (c't tv) was an information program about computers and technology and was first broadcast weekly on hr-fernsehen . The program took up topics from the printed magazine edition. Subject areas that were repeated weekly were product presentations, tests, technical assistance, the “Computer ABC” and the “Beware of customer!” Category, in which problems between the company and customers were addressed by the moderator.

Every year the service toad of the year was awarded to particularly customer-hostile companies.

The c't magazin.tv emerged from a collaboration between the hr-Fernsehen and the c't editorial team of the Heise magazine publisher . Since the premiere on September 20, 2003, it has been broadcast for half an hour on hr television every Saturday at 12:30 pm. Repetitions of the current program were also shown on the channels rbb , EinsPlus and 3sat . On January 15, 2011, the main show was postponed to 5:30 p.m. A 45-minute version of the program was broadcast several times on 3sat in spring 2009. C't magazin.tv was moderated by the deputy c't editor-in-chief Georg Schnurer and hr moderator Mathias Münch . The 250th program ran on September 6, 2008.

On June 25, 2011, the program was stopped after 358 episodes for cost reasons.

particularities

Münch played the role of the technically ignorant and Schnurer that of the expert . The moderators met and often teased each other, e.g. B. because of Münch's preference for Apple products or Schnurer's for country music . The test results were not always presented in detail in the broadcast or published on the Internet, but you could download them for a fee as PDF files or obtain them by purchasing the c't booklet.

successor

From March 2014 to January 2016, Münch and Schnurer privately produced an unofficial successor under the name "Technik Ranch" and published the episodes on YouTube. In terms of content, the magazine is heavily based on the former television magazine. Due to a lack of time on the part of Münch, Schnurer has been running the magazine alone since January 2016. After changing guests and episodes without guests, Wieland Morawietz is now at Schnurer's side.

Heise-Verlag now also officially produces its own videos on a regular basis, which are published on the Heise website and on the YouTube channel:

  • checked : individual interviews with authors about their articles.
  • c't uplink : Weekly discussion with several authors who talk about their articles in the current c't.
  • #heiseshow : Weekly live show about technology news and current network politics .

These formats are moderated by various c't editors, Georg Schnurer can only be seen here very rarely (as a guest).
