action

The editor-in-chief of the "Bombay Times" Srivastav is murdered. The thief Master, the only witness, is then arrested by the police. But Inspector Shekhar knows that Master is innocent because he was chasing the real culprit in Rekha's car. Shekhar dismisses Master and catches the real killer: Sher Singh, who was also arrested thanks to Master's testimony. But Shekhar is also aware that someone more important was behind the act. The beautiful Kamini confirms his assumption.

While Shekhar meets with Rekha, who turns out to be the superintendent's daughter, the murderer Singh is murdered in prison. And Shekhar is blamed for the act. Now Shekhar's innocence must be proven.

It soon turns out that Dharamdas is behind it all. With the help of Kamini, Shekhar can arrest the real culprit, who tried to stab Rekha and was caught red-handed.

criticism

CID was Raj Khosla's first film hit. He is dominated by Waheeda Rehman's radiant appearance in her first role in a Hindi film . Her sensuality comes into its own when she tries to seduce the crime boss (to the song Kahin Pe Nigahen ) in order to enable the hero's escape.
