The African Handball Federation (French: Confédération Africaine de Handball ; CAHB) is the umbrella organization for handball in Africa with 52 national member associations and one of five continental associations of the International Handball Federation .

It was in 1973 by 20 countries at the 2nd Handball African Cup in Nigeria's Lagos founded and has its headquarters in the Ivorian Abidjan . The president is Mansourou Aremou from Benin, and the general secretary of the Congolese is Charles Omboumahou. The official languages ​​are English , French and Arabic .

The association organizes the African handball championship in a member country every two years. The reigning African champions are Tunisia for the men and Angola for the women.
