CC Behrens , bourgeois Jürgen Behrens (born December 12, 1955 in Rosdorf ), is a German musician , drummer and percussionist . He was successful with the bands Silent Circle and Fair Warning and was part of the backing band Reinforced by Heinz Rudolf Kunze .

Life

Jürgen CC Behrens learned to play the guitar at the age of twelve and soon afterwards founded a school band. In the 1970s he switched to drums.

The abbreviation CC instead of his first name Jürgen came about during his training as an air traffic controller. Behrens: “Everyone is given initials: JB was no longer available, but they still had CC. And that then became independent. "

CC was a founding member of the disco-pop trio Silent Circle , which achieved a top 20 hit in the German charts in 1986 with its second single "Touch in the night". He left the band in 1988 to join Zeno . From Zeno later Fair Warning . In 1993, CC got out of this band - until they reunited with a big Japan tour in 2005. During this time, the drummer remained in demand in Germany, so in 1991 he played two tours with Matthias Reim .

After his time at Fair Warning , CC has been realizing his idea of ​​a percussion show called Drum Fire since 1994 , where he continues to inspire audiences musically and artistically at various kinds of events.

He had known Heiner Lürig since the early 1980s , and so he was involved in the second album of the "Magic Guitars" (H. Marathon / H. Lürig). During the production of the demo version of Dein ist mein Ganzes Herz , he met Heinz Rudolf Kunze and, while working on his 1996 album Richter-Skala, moved up to the regular HRK line-up, to which he belonged until 2002.
