The CEFCU Stadium is a stadium in the US city of San José in the state of California . It was named Spartan Stadium for over 80 years until it was renamed CEFCU Stadium in August 2016 due to a sponsorship deal. The stadium is owned by San José State University , which uses it as the venue for the home games of the NCAA college football team of the San Jose State Spartans . It is also the occasional home of high school football games and is used for the university's annual graduation ceremony on Memorial Day weekend.

The CEFCU Stadium was the venue for the home games of the San José Earthquakes (originally San Jose Clash) from the Major League Soccer from 1996 to the end of 2005. The San Jose Earthquakes, which played in the North American Soccer League (NASL) and from 1974 to 1988, respectively. were active in the Western Soccer Alliance (WSA), the San Jose CyberRays from the Women's United Soccer Association (2001 to 2003) and the San Francisco Dragons from the Major League Lacrosse (2008) played their home games in the stadium.

A total of four games took place in the stadium during the 1999 Women's World Cup .
