The CLB I was a series of locomotives with a tender of the Galician Carl Ludwig-Bahn (CLB) Austria-Hungary .

In 1872/73, the CLB procured twelve of these express train locomotives with the axle formula B1, which is unusual for Austria, from the Esslingen machine factory . They were named ODESSA , DUBNO , BALTA , LUKÓW , BRZESKO , BALICE , BRZEGI , CHERSON , DNJEPR , DUBLANY , DORA and HUSIATYN . The DNJEPR was presented at the Vienna World Exhibition in 1873 and caused a sensation there because of its elegant appearance.

The machines had a spark extinguishing chimney of the Ressig type and, because of the large driving wheels, a restricted fire box. The arrangement of the axles repeatedly led to derailments in winter due to the formation of ice, especially near the water cranes , so that the machines were finally no longer used in winter.

When the CLB was nationalized in 1892, the kkStB lined up the twelve locomotives as class 11 with the operating numbers 11-22. Row 11 was later awarded again by the kkStB with a second line-up.
