The Cañada Grande is a small river in eastern Uruguay .
The river, which belongs to the catchment area of the Laguna Merín, has its source in the Cuchilla de Mangrullo in the center of the Cerro Largo department . After about 65 kilometers to the south, it flows into the Río Tacuarí . It plays an important role in regional rice cultivation.
