The Cabane du Mont Fort is a refuge of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) in the Valais Alps . It is located in the municipality of Bagnes in Lower Valais , west of Mont Fort and south of Mont Gelé at an altitude of 2459 m above sea level. M. in the ski area under Mont Fort. The SAC hut is owned by the Jaman Section in Vevey , was built in 1925 and had 38 places at that time. It can be reached by hikers from Verbier ; the route can be shortened by using the cable cars near Verbier. The aerial tramway to Col des Gentianes does not pass the hut too far.
