The municipal administration ( junta ) of Cabeção, in front of it the stake as a sign of city rights from the 16th century.

Cabeção is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Mora . 1073 inhabitants live in it (as of June 30, 2011).

history

In the course of the Reconquista , the later order of knights of Avis received the area for settlement. Today’s place developed from an estate founded by the order, the Quinta de São Salvador .

In 1395 Cabeção received its first city rights, and in 1578 the place was elevated to a vila . In the course of the administrative reforms after the Liberal Revolution in 1822 , the Cabeção district was dissolved in 1836 and incorporated into the Mora district.
