Calibrachoa parviflora

Calibrachoa parviflora has very leafy, indistinct stems. The leaves are short and narrow and appear to be in clusters. The small crowns are often surrounded by thick foliage and calyxes . The five stamens are almost identical, but two anthers can be slightly larger than the remaining three. The scar is split in two, but can be slightly wider on the outside so that it looks slightly two-armed.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 18.

distribution

The original distribution area of ​​the species extends from warm and temperate South America to Mexico and the southern USA . In Cuba, the originality is questionable. In Australia and Florida the species is a neophyte.

Systematics and botanical history

The species was first described in 1803 by Antoine-Laurent de Jussieu as Petunia parviflora . By dividing the genus Petunia , HJW Wijsman gave the name Calibrachoa parviflora in 1990 .
