Caliente (festival)
The Caliente in Zurich is the largest Latin festival in Europe. Since 1995 it has taken place annually in June or July in the Zurich district of Langstrasse and extends from Helvetiaplatz to the barracks area over large parts of the Langstrasse district in District 4 .
The Caliente Festival was launched in 1995. The festival offers South American specialties at stalls as well as the latest Latin beats. Every year great personalities of the Latin music scene are represented at the festival. In 2018, the festival was attended by an estimated 300,000 people.
There are now other smaller Caliente festivals in Switzerland, including in Bern , Baden and Arosa . There are Caliente festivals around the world, including in Bangkok , Cuba , Miami , Rio de Janeiro and the Dominican Republic .
