Calvin Ridley (* 20th December 1994 in Coconut Creek , Florida ) is an American American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL).

Early years

Ridley attended high school in his native Coconut Creek , Florida . Later he attended for three years the University of Alabama , where he twice received the college football team , the College Football Playoff National Championship Game won (2015 and 2017). Ridley caught 224 passes for 2,781 yards and 19 touchdowns in his three years at college . On January 10, 2018, he announced that he would be participating in the 2018 NFL Draft .

NFL

Atlanta Falcons

In the 2018 NFL Draft , Ridley was selected in the first round as the 26th player by the Atlanta Falcons . He was thus the second wide receiver selected in this draft, only DJ Moore was drafted before him. Ridley made his NFL debut in the first week of the 2018 season , but he couldn't score a single pass catch in that game. In the second week of defeating the Carolina Panthers , Ridley celebrated his first pass catch and touchdown in the NFL. A week later he had a formidable game with 7 passes caught for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns. He finished the season with ten captured touchdowns, which is a franchise record for a Falcons rookie.

In his second season he was put on the Injured Reserve List after the 14th game day . Before that he was one of the top performers in the offense.

Personal

His brother Riley Ridley also plays in the NFL as a wide receiver for the Chicago Bears .
