The Cam River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river has its source on the eastern slopes of Mount Leslie on the Murchison Highway (A10), about 30 km southwest of Burnie . From there it flows northeast, almost parallel to the highway, and joins the Bass Strait in Somerset .
