Cambodia Airways is a Cambodian airline founded in 2017 and a subsidiary of Prince International Airlines.

history

In August 2017, the airline received its first approval from the Council for the Development of Cambodia and in September it received the Charter of the Chamber of Commerce. After the Cambodian State Secretariat for Civil Aviation (SSCA) issued the Air Operator Certificate (AOC ) on July 6, 2018 , flight operations began on July 10. The first flight was from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap , followed by the first flight to Sihanoukville on July 14 and the first international flight to Macau on July 21 .

Destinations

Cambodia Airways' hub is Phnom Penh. The company flies to Siem Reap and Sihanoukville in Cambodia. The most important international flight route leads to China , where Macau is served directly from all three airports in Cambodia. Taiwan is served from Siem Reap , with Taipei only chartered, but from November 2018 a regular flight to Taichung will operate.

Planned international destinations are Hong Kong , Manila in the Philippines , Singapore , Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Bangkok in Thailand .

From October 2018, there will be direct flights to Taipei from Siem Reap, with a direct connection to Taichung to follow in November.

Charter and scheduled flights to Korea and Japan are planned, as are flights to Australia and Europe .

The airline plans to purchase 20 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family by 2023 . Airbus A330s are to be procured for use in Europe and Australia , although no date has been given for the purchase.
