Cameron Burgess (born October 21, 1995 in Aberdeen , Scotland ) is an Australian - Scottish football player . He has been playing for Fulham in the English second division since 2013 and is currently loaned out to Cheltenham Town .

Career

Burgess began his career in Scotland in his hometown with FC Aberdeen , after which he played for Celtic Glasgow . At the age of eleven he moved from Aberdeen to Australia . In Australia he played for ECU Joondalup . In 2012 he moved to England for Fulham , for which he made his championship debut in August 2014 . In January 2015 he returned to Scotland until the end of the season, where he was loaned to the first division club Ross County , but for which he did not play a game. In January 2016 he was awarded to the fifth division club Cheltenham Town .

National team

Burgess first played for Scotland before deciding to play for Australia in 2014. For Australia he plays in the U-20 and U-23 teams .

Personal

His grandfather is the former Scottish national soccer player Campbell Forsyth , his father Stuart was also a soccer player.
