Camilla Røseler Andersen (born July 5, 1973 in Gentofte , Denmark ) is a former Danish handball player . The 1.69 m long player was primarily used in the center back position.

Career

Camilla came to the German Bundesliga club Buxtehuder SV through the clubs Virum-Sorgenfri HK, FIF and Nordstrand IL . Between 1993 and 1996 the right-hander scored 446 hits in 74 games for the BSV. The greatest success during this time was winning the Euro City Cup in 1994.

After Camilla then spent a season at the Norwegian club Bækkelagets SK Oslo, she returned to Denmark to FIF. After a total of 4 seasons, she moved to Slagelse FH , with whom she was able to win the EHF Champions League . In April 2005 Camilla ended her career at FCK Håndbold . In 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003 she was the top scorer in the Danish league.

Camilla made her international debut in the Danish national team on February 12, 1992. With 846 goals in 194 internationals, she is the record scorer in her country. With the Danish selection, she won two Olympic gold medals, a world championship and two European championships .

In 2012, Andersen was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Danish Sports as the 27th member .

Private

Her parents Gert Andersen and Toni Røseler Andersen were both former handball players . Her twin sister Charlotte Andersen also played handball in the Danish top division.

In 2000 Camilla married the Norwegian handball player Mia Hundvin . After three years of marriage, the two separated.
