Camille Verfaillie

Camille Verfaillie SCI (born July 4, 1892 in Hooglede ; † January 22, 1980 ) was a Belgian clergyman and Vicar Apostolic of Stanley Falls .

Life

He was ordained a priest on July 13, 1924. The Pope appointed him on February 1, 1934 Titular Bishop of Oëa and Vicar Apostolic of Stanley Falls . The Archbishop of Mechelen , Cardinal Jozef-Ernest van Roey , donated him episcopal ordination on May 27 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Henricus Lamiroy , Bishop of Bruges , and Gastone Antonio Rasneur , Bishop of Tournai .

He resigned from his office in March 1958. He attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
