Nicolas Kinsch

Nicolas Kinsch SCI (born October 31, 1904 in Esch an der Alzette , † March 23, 1973 ) was Archbishop of Kisangani .

Life

He was ordained a priest on July 12, 1931. On May 7, 1958, the Pope appointed him Titular Bishop of Mastaura in Asia and Vicar Apostolic of Stanleyville .

The Bishop of Luxembourg , Léon Lommel , ordained him episcopal on October 11th of the same year ; Co -consecrators were Camille Verfaillie SCI, Apostolic Vicar Emeritus of Stanleyville, and Joseph-Pierre-Albert Wittebols SCI, Apostolic Vicar of Wamba .

On November 10, 1959, John XXIII appointed him . to Archbishop of Stanleyville. He attended the first two sessions of the Second Vatican Council . After his resignation on September 26, 1967 from the office of local ordinary Paul VI appointed him . to titular archbishop pro hac vice of Zucchabar . From his office as titular archbishop he resigned on April 15, 1971.
