The Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake is primarily a military airfield of the Royal Canadian Air Force , which is located near the city of Cold Lake in Alberta , Canada . This is one of two airfields where the CF-18 Hornet fighter planes are stationed. The base is the main station of the 4th Squadron ( 4 Wing ). There is a civil airport terminal on the premises.
