Women's National Basketball Association
Candice Dupree was selected in the 2006 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky in sixth place overall. So Dupree is the very first draft pick in the history of Sky. Dupree has been a key player in Sky since her first WNBA season. In her 2006 rookie season , she was elected to the Eastern All-Star Team. Despite her good performance, she clearly missed the playoffs with the Sky, which is also due to the fact that this was only the first season of the newly founded Sky. In the 2007 season, Dupree again played a good season, she even managed to increase her points average from 13.7 to 16.5 points per game. Furthermore, Dupree was re-elected to the Eastern All-Star Team this season. However, she clearly missed the playoffs with the Sky this season. Also in 2008 and 2009 Dupree was one of the pillars of the team, she was again in the starting line-up of Sky in all 34 games of the season, but the team still had to wait for the first playoff participation. From the 2010 season Candice Dupree played for the team of Phoenix Mercury . There, too, she was part of the starting line-up at all season games this season, but with the team she reached the WNBA playoffs for the first time. This should stay that way in the following seasons. Only in 2012 did the Mercury fail to reach the playoffs. This season, Dupree could only play 13 games due to injury. Dupree achieved the greatest team success when he won the WNBA championship in 2014 . In the years 2010 to 2015 Dupree failed with the Mercury in the other four seasons four times in the Conference Finals at the eventual WNB champion.
Europe
Like many WNBA players, Dupree plays regularly in Europe during the WNBA season break. Since 2006 she has been on the field for teams from Russia, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In the 2016/17 season she played for the Czech club USK Prague .
National team
Both in the Basketball World Championship for Women in 2010 and the in 2014 she won the US team each title.
