lake
Lake Canova, like the nearby Neu-Süns Castle, is owned by the von Planta family , who also run the Canova estate. Pike , carp , perch and eel live in the lake ; The lake is not suitable for trout because of the stagnant water. Fishing is prohibited.
The water depth decreases steadily because of the sinking plant remains. Today it is around 10 meters, which is why the water warms up to 24 ° C in summer.
A fireplace has been set up on the eastern bank. Bathing in the lake is chargeable.
