The Capanna Dötra ( German Dötrahütte ) is a refuge in the village of Olivone in the Valle Santa Maria in the canton of Ticino in the Lepontine Alps at an altitude of 1748 m M.
History and description
The Dötrahütte was inaugurated in 1937, improved in 1955, renovated in 1987 and modernized in 2018. It belongs to the SAT Lucomagno section of the Società Alpinistica Ticinese (SAT) and the umbrella organization Federazione Alpinistica Ticinese (FAT).
The hut has three floors and a dining room for a total of 32 seats as well as an outside terrace with tables. In the absence of the keeper, a wood and gas stove with cookware is available. The toilets and running water are inside the building. It is heated with wood and illuminated with solar cells. The 22 beds are divided into 3 rooms with 2, 4 and 16 beds.

- You can drive to the hut by car.
- From Piera - Camperio ( 1300 m above sea level ) in 1 ¼ hours (level of difficulty T1)
- From Campra ( 1412 m above sea level ) in 1 hour (T2).
- Campo Blenio ( 1216 m above sea level ) in 3 ¼ hours (T2).
Camperio and Campra can be reached by public transport.
