Caren Pfleger

Caren Pfleger (actually Katharina von Paffendorf ; * April 7, 1945 in Oberhausen ; † May 11, 2019 in Cologne ) was a German designer, beauty and lifestyle consultant and a former model .

Life

Caren Pfleger began her modeling career in New York .

From 1976 to 1981 Pfleger studied at the New York Community College Fashion Institute of Technology . At the beginning of 1986 the "Caren Pfleger Modeagentur" was founded and in 1986 she presented her first fashion collection. Her 3-5-7 pieces business suit for the businesswoman became famous. Berlin followed as a further station of her teaching activity. Caren Pfleger's collections have received several awards, for example in 1996 and 1998 with the Fil d'Or at the Festival International des Créateurs in Monte Carlo by Karl Lagerfeld . In 1996 she received the European Fashion Award , in 1998 the Federal Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany from Federal President Roman Herzog . The Caren Pfleger Design GmbH operated 2000 49 own world by the year fashion shops . Since 2000 Pfleger has published a number of books on the subjects of Health & Care and Wellness & Beauty. Pfleger designed a fashion collection and jewelry for the Galeria Kaufhof .

Pfleger was widowed, lived in New York and Cologne and had a daughter.
