history

The name carl's books refers to Carl Bertelsmann , the founder of C. Bertelsmann Verlag . The publisher is a pure paperback publisher and only publishes original or German first editions. A successful title on the first program was The Hundred Year Old Who Got Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson . The novel was published in German on September 1, 2011, became a bestseller and sold more than two million times in Germany alone by the end of 2014. In Switzerland , the work was also number one on the bestseller list for over a year. With the illiterate who could count , the second novel by Jonas Jonasson, who was similarly successful appeared on November 15, 2013.
