Carl Amon

Carl Amon (* 1798 in Graz ; † October 6, 1843 in Maletschnig , St. Peter near Marburg , Lower Styria) was an Austrian painter .

Amon created frescoes and oil paintings for churches in Styria and the former province of Marburg, including frescoes for the church in Gams and Frauenberg near Marburg. He also made the Stations of the Cross in the parish church in Halbenrain (1837) and a side altarpiece depicting St. Ambrosius in the parish church of St. Ulrich in Greith (1840).
