Carl Anderson (singer)
Carl Anderson ( February 27, 1945 - February 23, 2004 ) was an American singer and actor .
Career
He achieved international fame mainly through his portrayal of Judas Iscariot in the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar and the film adaptation of the same name . Anderson played this role for over 30 years.
In 1986 he was involved in Joe Zawinul's album Di-a-lects .
Anderson died of leukemia 4 days before his 59th birthday .
